Smallholder Agriculture Development (SADP) project management unit (PMU) under the Ministry Agriculture and Food Security (MAFSN) is the main implementing agency. It is responsible for: implementation and coordination, financial management and procurement, communication, visibility and awareness programs, environmental management and safeguards, and monitoring and evaluation. This component is responsible for the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of the baseline and project completion surveys.
Planned Activities

Formation and training of Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) committees

Environmental and Social Safeguards training for farmers and extension staff

Integrated Pest Management training for Extension staff

Development of M&E system for effective monitoring and reporting.
Progress To Date
- A total of 239 (129F, 110M) farmers were trained on environmental and social safeguards to better advice farmers on environment issues as well as compliance.
- 113 (44F, 69M) farmers were trained on Integrated Pest Management from Maseru, Mafeteng, Mohale’s hoek and Thaba-Tseka.
- M&E system developed and functional.
