OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, the Procurement officer will be responsible for assisting with Planning, coordinating and execute and deliver Project procurement function consistent with the agreed project procurement arrangement with Quality and efficiency. 1. 1. Reporting to the Financial Management Specialist, the Project Accountant  will work within the SADP 2 financial management team aiding and support in financial planning, budgeting, implementation, and financial monitoring of the projects in accordance with the project documents.
   2. Under the supervision of the Financial Management Specialist, the Accountant Officer will be required to work closely with the financial management team and the entire PMU team.
   3. Ensure that all the financial management requirements of projects are carried out smoothly and on timely manner.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Reporting to the M&E Specialist, the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, will be

responsible for supporting the PMU in planning, coordinating, and executing the project's M&E functions in line with the agreed M&E plan, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.

The main objective of this position is to support the PMU in reporting on GAFSP implementation progress on a biannually basis (every 6 months) in accordance with the grants guidelines.

To this end, the SADP 2 follows Government of Lesotho and IFAD guidelines and procedures as stated in the Financing Agreement.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, and as a response to additional responsibilities brought on by
the (GAFSP) additionality, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for assisting with Planning,
coordinating, executing and delivery of Project procurement functions consistent with the agreed
project procurement plan/arrangement with Quality and efficiency.

The objectives of this assignment are to:

a) To assess the safety condition of the Thaba Phat’soa dam and its associated structures' operational status in accordance with national standards and international guidelines and practices.

b) To assess the overall risk of the dam and any required works or safety-related measures necessary to upgrade the dam to an acceptable standard of safety, considering the potential risk of the dam and the urgency of interventions.

c) To prepare a safety assessment report including any safety issues, potential risks, recommendations of remedial works and safety improvement measures.

• Structural elements, along with their conceptual design and preliminary cost estimate for further operation and maintenance.
• Provide recommendations for remedial works if necessary.

The program Development Objective (PDO) is to “Support the increased adoption of climate smart Agricultural technologies in Lesotho’s Agriculture, enhanced Commercialization and improved Dietary diversity among targeted beneficiaries”.
